The Sun’s Cycle

This poem was first published by the Crusader Publication for the Veritas Literary Arts Folio in 2016.

When the sun

in the sky

above me

sets,

I’d know that

the sun

in the sky

above you

rises.

But we both know

the world is round;

it’s the same sky,

it’s the same sun.

And as I gaze at the

golden sphere,

I often wonder

whether our hearts

beat

at the same time

together.
